On today's episode of Talk To The Dr. we sit down with my good friend Artist/Surfer Kurt "KZ" Ziegler (@zieglersurfart). We talk about growing up with his two brothers, Gary and Glen at "204" on the north end of what I must say is the coolest little beach town in the world, San Clemente. Discovering at a very young age his love for surfing and how art set the tone for what was to become his life journey.
Push forward a couple decades, and he gets a gig doing art for one of the biggest surf brands in the world at the time Gotcha and MCD. This sparked a career as an artist selling his designs to brands like Body Glove, Town & Country, OP, Local Motion, HIC, Rip Curl, O'Neill and Lost. He also designed art for the legendary band Grateful Dead. He moved to Puerto Rico 25 years ago, where he resides to this day pulling into solo barrels in front of his house, doing his art on canvas and enjoying life in the tropical Caribbean paradise that continues to inspire his work.
