On this episode of "Talk To The Dr." I sit down with filmmaker/Musician, Gabe Caswall. Growing up in Imperial Beach, California, he got his hands on his first camera by the age of 8 and never looked back. Not long after, surfing and skating became huge influences in his life. By early high school, the two worlds collided when he started filming his friends surfing. Looking back, that was a turning point in his life. Fast forward a few more years, and he meets Noah Beschen. The vibe clicked instantly, and since then, they’ve been showcasing their innovative collaborations and blowing minds worldwide along the way. We talk about his love for music and how, during COVID, he put down the camera to pursue his musical passions. Eventually, though, he found himself drawn back into filmmaking and directed his latest project, the short film 𝑷𝑶𝑷𝑷𝒀. We wrap up by discussing the highs and lows of filmmaking and how deeply it has to matter to you in order to push through the challenges that come with it. Because at the end of the day, filmmaking is no easy path but for those who truly love it, it’s worth every step.
