On today's episode of "Talk To The Dr." we sit down with Francis Brebner. We discuss being brought up in the fishing port of Peterhead in the far North East of Scotland. We touch on his pursuit in competitive sports where it all began with long distance running which was then followed by bodybuilding, power lifting, arm wrestling, and strongman before finally taking up the sport of the Highland Games as a full-time profession which lasted eighteen glorious years. Francis has achieved multiple world records with the Highland Games as well as thirty-five national titles in his athletic career while also winning the World Highland Games Championships and World Caber Tossing Championships an undisputed seven times. After retirement in 2003, Francis created the “International Highland Games Federation” (IHGF) where he commentates, Judges, and holds coaching clinics.
