David Elecciri was born into a house where both parents were really into music. There were guitars, a piano, drum set and record player playing all kinds of music. Jazz, blues, rock, reggae, swing jazz and country. Being of Mexican descent there was lots of old Spanish records and mariachi music as he explains "all the good stuff from Mexico." He knew from a very young age that he wanted to make it as a musician. His dad was a football coach and David loved playing the game along with surfing, so he was growing up into music, football and surfing here in the coolest little beach town this side of Coolangatta. He gives all love and respect to his parents who always supported him following his dreams and pursuits. He grew up with Wardo and they are still close to this day. Seeing Chris ripping at such a young age along with the Fletchers, Justin Mattison and Robo were all huge inspirations. But as much as he loved surfing, he realized early on that a career in pro surfing wasn't his destiny. So, he set his sights on the NFL or becoming a professional musician and here we are three decades after high school and not only is he a professional musician, but he plays guitar and sings in one of the world's most prominent and respected reggae bands, Steel Pulse. Honestly, it couldn't have happened to a nicer dude. David Elecciri aka David Electric is one of the most positive soulful characters you will ever meet.
